Unit 1 is a course for Absolute Beginners, or someone with limited or no knowledge of the fiddle. Each lesson features sheet music and diagrams to be printed off as well as a stunning professionally recorded HD video using multiple cameras to enable the best possible angles with clear views of both the finger-board and bow hand.

Lesson 1 - The Basics! An introduction to your instrument; maintenance of the violin; bowing open strings. If you have just purchased, rented or borrowed a fiddle and aren't sure what to do next - this lesson is for you!

Lesson 2 - Getting Started! Basic finger positions and an introduction to the key of A Major.

Lesson 3 - Let's Play! Rhythm exercises to get your bow hand warmed up; an introduction to reading simple music for fiddle; 3 pieces of music.

Lesson 4 -  Switching Keys! Introducing the key of D Major; more rhythm exercises for our bowing and simple pieces of music.

Lesson 5 - Milestone! Introducing the key of G Major; slightly more advanced rhythm exercises; pieces of music; milestone piece of music - a bit of a challenge but we've made it this far indeed!
